Bharatanatyam for kids — taught the way it should be.
Authentic classical Indian dance for diaspora children aged 6-12. Taught in English, Hindi, or Japanese. Not running this term.
What your child will learn
- Adavus — the foundational steps, taught in the Kalakshetra tradition
- Hastas — the language of hand gestures and their meaning
- Aramandi (the half-sit position) — the foundation that holds the art form together
- Simple compositions building toward Arangetram-level work
- Confidence on stage — kids perform at our annual recital
